Our Commitments
What we ask organizations to bring to their commitments, we hold ourselves to as well.
Compositions should operate according to the same principles it advises. These aren't values on a wall — they're the discipline the work is checked against, including our own.
The Seven
The principles the work is checked against.
Evidence Before Assertion
Conclusions must remain proportional to evidence.
Meaning and Reality Together
Communication should not be separated from the reality stakeholders are being asked to interpret.
Clarity Before Complexity
The buyer should not have to become a methodologist to understand the work.
Human and Enterprise Value Together
Do not artificially separate human experience from enterprise consequence.
Creative Intelligence With Structural Discipline
Expression should be imaginative without sacrificing rigor. Rigor should be sophisticated without becoming sterile.
Independent Judgment
Recommendations should follow evidence and judgment — not a predetermined deliverable.
Coherence in Practice
Compositions should operate according to the same principles it advises.
In Practice
Two commitments worth stating plainly.
How AI is used here
Compositions uses AI tools for drafting, research support, and production work — including on this website. It does not use AI to generate client-facing conclusions, interpretation, or recommendations in place of judgment. Dana owns problem framing, diagnosis, synthesis, and final recommendations personally; AI assists the work, it doesn't replace the judgment the work depends on.
An accessible site, honestly stated
This site is built with accessibility principles in mind — keyboard operability, visible focus states, semantic structure, and respect for reduced-motion preferences. We haven't yet completed a formal audit against a specific standard, and we say so plainly rather than overclaiming.
